I recently came across this great little video from Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine that summarizes the keys to financial security. Since holidays are upon us, I wanted to write this brief post so that we all feel inspired by this video.

Here is a summary of the 8 keys to financial success.
1) Invest in yourself through education and job skills.
2) Protect yourself and your loved ones through adequte insurance.
3) Borrow sparingly. Use credit for only things of lasting values such education, home, and may be a car.
4) Pay yourself first by directing money to savings and investment before paying bills.
5) Don't go for the home run by keeping investments simple.
6) Diversify, diversify, diversify.
7) Live simply today for a more comfortable tomorrow.
8) Give generosuly of yourself to create a better world.
